  1. It’s interesting that you should mention crows as today, while eating lunch, I looked out the window to see a bald eagle flying toward our house, then over, then circling in the woods behind our house. I literally jumped up and ran from window to window. Bald eagle sightings are not uncommon around here. But I’ve not seen one this close by our house in a long while. It was one of those moments that causes pause in a day.

Thank you for continuing to share your concern about the ongoing ICE enforcement in Minnesota and now the second fatal shooting of a Minnesotan by federal agents in recent weeks. We are exhausted. We need ICE out. Yesterday.

    1. Yes, those are magical moments. I love raptors of all kinds. Friday we were in Providence and a pair of Cooper’s hawks flew above us and displayed.

We need ICE out of your state; actually, we nee them gone, period.

  2. I have no specific beliefs but I have always sensed that birds are mystical creatures, crows especially.

  3. I hope the madness will stop – and support for that goes and grows strong.

  4. Heartbreak and rage is exactly how I feel. I’m deeply saddened by what’s become of our country. Perhaps the snow and cold are like a cleansing. If only.

    1. I was on a Zoom call yesterday with a group of composers. One of the themes was how snd and angry everyone felt. Lots of struggles to make art.

  5. I do believe ancestors remain close to us. We do need their comfort now. I recently watched Death by Lightning on Netflix. It’s about President Garfield and the corruption in his time. Some believe it parallels today. The four-part program was good.
