The world is in a hard way. Sometimes I imagine that anything I may do is likely to have no real impact. In those moments or days I get pretty glum.
A few nights ago I had a dream. In the dream I was watching folks going about their day-to-day routines. Each person emitted a bright green light. Some few lights were brighter than the rest, and several of these brightly shining people had gathered together to do what they could to aid the world. Oddly, most, maybe all, of these folks were unaware of the intensity of their light; they were simply going about their lives, doing their best to aid others and the Earth.
I was just lucid enough in the dream to think about the idea, appearing in many traditions, that a few “just” or “righteous” people keep the world from tumbling into chaos. As I watched, I noted the brightly shining ones had their share of pathos and despair. Mostly they had no clue they were holding the world in something resembling balance.
As the dream closed, I was treated to a final few images. Time had passed and the world was on the mend. It was evident in the dream that the caring and perseverance of these few people had held the space for change. That change, slow in coming, perhaps taking several generations, was now, at the dream’s conclusion, blossoming, and the world was in renewal.
I awoke with the strong conviction I had been visited by my old teachers. They reminded me things are never quite as they seem. They also reminded me that we cannot know the long-term effect of our actions. It was a good dream, and I am grateful.
Oh Michael. How beautiful and uplifting. Your dream is true and you are bathing the Earth in your love.
Gretchen, we are doing our best. Is that not so?
Always Michael. It is the very best way to live this beautiful life. Gretchen
That dream is truly a gift.
Hi Victoria! Yes, it was a gift and one to be shared. It was good to be able to do that.
What a wonderful dream. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Thank you. It seemed important to share. Has all kinds of import.
Wow. Great dream. Nothing like the support of the dream world to help keep you motivated and inspired. Hope your enjoying a happy and peaceful weekend. Many thanks!
Thank you. My mood, being a mood, was, of course, all over. LOL!Blessings!
It’s fleeting nature makes it all the more precious.
Yes, precious indeed!
Michael, I had a vision/dream one time of a sky full of star and each light connected to someone here on earth. A guide showed me how one person can help another person connect to their own light. He would point to the light and draw it down to the person. I think this is what you do. Thanks for sharing your beautiful dream.
What a wonderful vision, Alicia! I hope that is what I do. I believe it is also what you do!
I’m happy that you can talk about this openly. Dreams and specially visits have been banned talking about for many years.
I have had this experience back from being a kid. Back then we did not talk open about this.
Great post Michael 🙂
Irene, dreams are very important in Native culture. There are some dreams one might not speak about. Yet many dreams are best shared, as they speak to the lives of many in the community.I am sorry to hear that you were encouraged not to share. How else, beside sharing, can children understand what they are being told in their dreams?
I did understand my grandfather, he came to teach me about life. We were very close while he lived and I was only 6 years old when he left this world.
I do agree, not all dreams are for talking but most of them can be a help for several.
