Hong Kong

We left Chennai shortly before 2 a.m. yesterday morning, changed planes in Bancock, and arrived here in Hong Kong shortly before noon. As per usual, Jennie slept some while I slept little. In the afternoon we wandered the streets around our hotel. We ate an early dinner, bought desert from a corner bakery (when we arrived back in our room we discovered we had no spoons with which to eat our mango pudding), and went to bed before 9.

Thankfully, we slept 11 hour, and now both feel refreshed. We begin work ten days of disability related workshops today. More on that later. I also want to write about the  shamanic training weekend I led for a wonderful group of men and women in the healing professions in Chennai, and about some of the issues they face in their work. I’ll do this as time permits.

    1. Yes, Vermont, India, and Hong Cong is a large spectrum. Working with translators is so eye-opening. Language really does shape much of our thought, and hood translators are able to convey very complex ideas in ways that allow us to compare thought. In the end, playing is often the very best of pathways between cultures. We are repeatedly reminded that our world is a very small place, indeed.

    1. Thanks, Laara! Our first day was splendid! After meetings with ADA, Jennie led the first evening of her workshop. Tomorrow is my first evening. Now off to bed.

We are very much ready for bed. Michael Watson M.A., Ph.D., LCMHC, JourneyWorks 11Kilburn Street Burlington Vermont 05408 802-860-6203 http://www.journeyworksvt.com/ https://michaelwatsonvt.wordpress.com/ http://journeyworksvt.wordpress.com/
