  1. I’m glad you have power, Michael. Keep warm and cozy.

    1. Than, you, Mary. We are doing great.

  2. Not sure if my comment has disappeared into the snow . . . ?

    1. If it did, we won’t see it for weeks.

      1. After four attempts I resorted to Messenger.

        1. I’m afraid their horse floundered in the drifts.

  3. That was some storm! Funny, but we only got about a couple of inches. Smart sparrow and kind Jenny. Glad you kept your power.

  4. I always feel for birds in weather like that. I’m glad that sparrow took shelter.

    1. Us, too. Trying to provide food and shelter for them.

What a storm Michael and so glad you kept your power and were able to offer shelter to the sweet sparrow for the night! 😊 Here’s hoping the rest of the town will have their power restored soon too 🙏

    1. Slowly folks are getting back to usual.

  6. That is a whole lot of snow. As a Minnesotan, I can say that I’ve never experienced 37 inches of snow in a single storm. Blizzards, yes, but none with that much snow. I’m thankful your power stayed on and hope it returns for other residents of your community. Thank you for letting us know that you are alright.

    1. We were finally plowed out at about 8:30 last night. Friends have yet to have their street plowed.

  7. Yes, blizzards and such are much better experienced while warm and comfortable. Just to mention, I remember the 1978 Boston Blizzard, too. Mostly because I worked with an engineer who just moved to CO in the summer of 1978 and it was a fun conversation topic. I was impressed with the idea of Bostonians (at least his slice of them) cross country skiing around the city and making do. However, THE storm of 2026 seems to have topped the charts for you New Englanders. 😉

    1. It was very much a southern New England storm. Northern areas are much better prepared to deal with these events, although even there it could take a couple of days. Lots of good natured story swapping at the coffee shop this morning.
