  1. Such a lovely description of the shifting in season. You always seem to find the right words that flow poetic.

As far as failing to pick up the camera, sometimes it’s best simply best to be in the moment. I’m learning that more and more.

    1. Thank you! Like you, I work on it.
Yes, sometimes just staying in the moment is its own reward.

  2. I only use one camera and it has multiple settings but you can be sure it’s not the right one for the scene that suddenly comes into view! A lot of my pictures are taken from the car as I am driven along, so I get what I get. Often it is better just to sit back and enjoy. We have so enjoyed seeing more turkeys this year. They are lovely.

    1. They are! I tend to be pretty easy going about my photos as well. Rarely do I get frustrated when I can’t get a shot. I figure it all works out in the end, or at least hope so. Anyway, I much enjoy your car based photos.

  3. Beautiful picture at the top of this post. We have had some much needed rain, but no hard frost yet. Twenty years ago, this would have been astonishing. Now, it is normal.

    1. Yes, frost seems to come ever later. My wife, who grew up near here, often talks about the immense difference in climate over her lifetime. An amazing amount of change in a very short time.

  4. Absolutely agree with Audrey’s comment. Better to be fully in the moment than capture what can at best only be a portion of the true moment on film (so to speak). I love Fall and your reflection on the season.
