We are in the midst of a WET day! Showers, some heavy, come and go. The plants that remain in the garden are bent low by the west wind. It’s wild enough out that the crows, who are now traveling in packs, are quiet.
I love a rainy day!
Jennie has been slowly putting the gardens to bed. The piles of stalks and weeds meant for the compost are steadily growing. Soon, that, too, will pass. We are told there may be a freeze tomorrow night.
We are determined to provide shelter for insects and other wildlife, so our neighbours will have to cope with our untidy gardens and lawn. Looking out onto the gardens from my second floor office, I notice that our holly, now filling much of the window, is thick with berries which will be a boon to the overwintering robins and others. We are told that the avian flu is not much impacting songbirds, so we can feed this winter.
Here is a link to the virtual exhibition version of our group show. It should work . i have tried it on my desktop and tablet with no issues, but we are told there may yet be glitches with the mobile version.
