  1. Is that the squirrel in the middle? our sunflowers are looking a little distressed now but I think the birds can still get something from them. Much cooler here today as well with a healthy breeze that has the wind chimes playing a symphony.

    1. Yes. It is grey. I kept imagining it as a clock pendulum, as it was swinging rhythmically ack and frow.

  2. Same weather conditions here. Hope your weekend is a fun one.

  3. Judging from the tail it looks like they grow big squirrels in your neck of the woods. Good luck with the gallery showing.

    1. The squirrels are well fed, and on the large size for sure.

  4. Here in southern Minnesota, the weather is like summer. Hot. Sunny. So un-fall like. I’m excited for you on your opening and look forward to a post about it.

    1. For now it is fall, chilly even, but by the weekend we are back into late summer. I sure the weather turns seasonable soon for all of is.
I will post something about the opening come Sunday or Monday.

  5. I left a comment on the Night Gallery website – but I’m not sure it went through. I wish I’d copied it! All that to say – I’ll try to recreate it here. I love the melding of the real birdsong with the electronic bird sounds – I ‘get it’! Plus the organic waves against the electronic ‘mechanical’ sounds and then there’s Puff!
Oh he lived by the sea – so a layering of ideas, too! 🙂
BTW: Puff lives on in my heart…
Michael: I cannot wait for the video of this completed Art/soundscape…Good luck on tomorrow’s installation and showing!

    1. Hi, Laura, I did get your other comment. Thank you for your lovely, supportive notes. I’m pleased you caught the layering! We shall see whether we manage a video.
There is something profoundly surreal about the show going up in the context of so much destruction. I vguess that is simply the human condition.

  6. It’s been balmy in Maine, too. Boy, do we need rain.

    1. Hopefully, the rains come this week.

      1. Fingers, toes, and everything else crossed. Fire warnings in New Hampshire and parts of Maine. First time in my memory.

        1. I hope the rain has come to you in a thorough soaking. Sadly, we have had many fire warnings.

          1. Blessed rain today. May we get more sometime soon.
