Just a quick post this summery morning.
Here in Vermont we are in high summer. Down at the boat house everyone is enjoying the shade, taking time out from the blinding heat and light. It does not take long on the water for folks to burn and dehydrate and it sure is good to know there are cool drinks to be had back on land.
Given the lake water is at record warmth, and far from the boat house door, it is easy to forget that spring can bring flooding and hypothermia. For now, though, the days are tail waggingly beautiful.
The shady respite of the boathouse sounds delightful Michael.
Andrea, the boat house has been a place of play and retreat for almost 100 years, and in the same family! It is an institution and we wonder what will happen when the elders who run it pass. For now, though, just joy!
