Today dawned quite mild, with just a few puffy clouds dotting the sky. This weekend the forecast is for our first prolonged autumn chill. Hopefully we will receive rain along with the cool weather, for our local land remains thirsty.Today marks the Autumn Equinox, when we acknowledge Grandmother Water, to whom we owe our very lives. We are also now reminded of the power of shared Dreaming, which offers to guide us to the very Hear of Pachamama. This year, our hearts go out to the many people around the world who are standing together to protect our Waters from the ravages of greed and indifference. We are grateful to all of those who risk much so that life may continue on our fragile blue-green planet.
We feel blessed to have had the company of those who came to our home early this morning to acknowledge the day, offer ceremony, and share breakfast. It was an early start to the day, and a lovely time of gratitude and remembrance.
May this day bring you joy, companionship, and hope, and may balance return to our lives, communities, and world.
