  1. How very efficient you sound! DMV etc – the utter tedium of a move. When I went to Washington I was flabbergasted to fail my driving test! Multiple choice questions have always been my downfall and I had nt been prepared. Luckily I did not have that problem when I returned, maybe because I already had a NY license. Glad to hear that Nori is adjusted – that is MOST important. Best wishes in your new home.

    1. Yes, Nori seems more her self each day, although we are all still dragging. Now she wants to join us outside and there is no safe way to do that. It will be a while before we have a cantico.

  2. I have been thinking about you. Glad the move is over and humans and kitty are mostly settled. How is we all accumulate so much stuff? Same here, and we live on a modest income.

    1. Hi Laurie! I did not intend to disappear for so long!
We inherited a lot of stuff recently, to add to the accumulated items from our previous marriages. At least we have now passed along most of their belongings to our various children. Anyway, we are still giving things away.

  4. It sounds like you have settled into a lovely and peaceful place, Michael! Even Nori approves! (smile) Wishing you and your family much happiness in your new abode!

    1. Thank you, Anita! This morning we had our first visit from a neighbor. It was delightful.

      1. That’s wonderful, Michael! That is always such a welcoming gesture, and a good sign! Enjoy!

  5. Congrats on having the move behind you. Hope the settling in continues and you remain happy with the change.

  6. “a surprising number of our neighbors have done away with grass and planted small wildflower meadows that hum with insects.” — that’s great!

Glad you’re unpacking and settling in so quickly.

  7. It’s good to hear you are moved, settling in and already enjoying your new neighborhood. You’ve had a busy summer.

    1. Now the house is under construction. LOL!
