A frigid, by local standards, Boxing Day morning. The sun is dimmed by a light haze, most likely off the bay. Last evening the light was noticeably stronger in keeping with the returning light of Christmas. Jennie noted that it seemed wintery, which this morning’s cold verified.

Nori the Cat just came over and walked through all my sound gear, carefully inspecting each bit. I’m waiting for the day she begins patching cables into the synths.
Yesterday we had a quiet day. We went to a restaurant in Providence for lunch which got us out of the house for a few hours. We were appreciative of the staff who were clearly in need of additional support. As we dined the establishment became ever more crowded and no more staff appeared so we imagine the workers had a very long day.
As is our custom we have listened to a lot of seasonal music during the last week. We particularly appreciate BBC Radio 3 and Minnesota Public Radio for sharing many engaging concerts. We do notice that this morning the music is much less seasonal. It is an abrupt and jarring change for those of us for whom the Holidays are more than a commercial event.
I hope you and yours have a leisurely and enjoyable Boxing Day.
