  1. What a pretty day that was. I spent most of my life very close to a sea or ocean and I miss that here along with the shore birds. I love watching flocks of migrating geese. My cat Willow was very alarmed when we first came here but now pays no attention. Too bad about your peach pie!

    1. Nori is very attuned to temperature, maybe as she was abandoned in early winter. She spent a good part of the morning trying to coax me into turning on the gas fireplace. Then the low sun threw a beam on to her favorite chair and she was gone. Loving pie in general, I will most likely make do.

  2. In the low 30’s this morning when I went out to finish up some of the last of the fall maintenance. It was darn chilly for gardening. 🙂 I love good pie so sorry about the heavy crust.

    1. Yes, chilly indeed. No doubt, as I love pie in general, I’ll most likely eat the pie anyway.

  3. Glad you got out and about again before winter settles into the land. I’m sorry the apple pie proved disappointing.

    1. Well, most likely winter will be a while in arriving here on the coast. Yes, the pie is disappointing but will be eaten and enjoyed anyway. Another storm coming up the coast. Seems we may have an active winter.

  4. You describe a haven of beauty, Michael.

    1. Yes, it is beautiful. Right now it seems more than a bit wintry dark; of course that is seasonal!

  5. Your cover photo for this post speaks so loud…and clear to me!
