A Soggy Day

A soggy day. Not as windy as is usual for these storms, warmish, but very very wet.

Nori the cat spent time out in the three season porch as the temperature is around 50F. When she came in she asked me to turn on the gas fireplace, then asked me to sit down in the wingback chair in front of said fireplace, promptly climbed into my lap, and fell asleep. Smart cat. It is nice to feel useful.

I am mostly recovered from my encounter with the floor; it is a relief to be able to recognize myself in the mirror.

The Holidays have been both fun and quiet; the absence of chill and snow seems exceeding odd, even as it becomes more the norm.

Here’s wishing you a safe, peaceful, and merry Holiday time. May the Fates bring you health and joy in the New Year!

  1. “Soggy” is certainly the right word for our weather conditions right now. It’s still raining, and the ground is definitely soggy. I haven’t even put the gasoline in the snow blower yet. Happy New Year to you as well, and it’s good to hear you’ve recovered.
